Meet the Soul Behind the Bridge

Your teammate as you bridge the gap between psychedelic insights and the ceremony of life.

Hi, I'm Alyssa!

I’m a mother, animal lover, explorer of consciousness and communer with plants. My pathway to pursue psychedelic integration coaching was sparked by my personal medicine journey. I felt a deep gnosis that plant medicine would be an important part of my life in 2016 when I learned of ayahuasca through an episode of “Chelsea Does…” where the comedian Chelsea Handler documents her Peruvian medicine experience. It was not the right time for me to sit with ayahuasca as I was consumed with raising my family, however I was now aware of her gentle nudges calling me to sit with her.

In the Fall of 2022 I found myself looping on existential questions. Feeling stuck and lost, plant medicine called me so strongly that I decided to take the leap. I reached out to friends asking who to drink with and this led me to ceremonies with yagé, the Colombian tradition of ayahuasca. With yagé I journeyed into a cosmic world I could have never imagined. I saw the parts of myself, including the traumas and emotions, that I suppressed and was keeping me from my fullest expression. It was a complete paradigm shift, so beautiful, eye-opening yet challenging.

As I returned to my daily life, I searched for help to understand how yagé illuminated the shifts I was desiring to make in my life and how to implement them in responsible and informed ways. I was now in full awareness that it was time to bring my 13 year partnership to a close, change careers and live solo for the first time in my life. Meanwhile trying to comprehend the trauma I had just unearthed. After trying different therapists I began to look beyond therapy as I felt misunderstood on my experiences with plant medicine and this left me feeling isolated. That's when I found the field of psychedelic integration coaching.

I am deep in my integration journey and it continues to be unique to my own needs as I believe most healing pathways are. My integration includes, but is not limited to building a community of friends with similar experiences, somatic therapy through dance, breathwork and communing with psychedelics. In the Spring of 2025 I signed up for a plant medicine integration training program that I’m currently enrolled in. In this program I hope to deepen my lifelong study into applying psychedelic insights into daily living so that I can create a safe, knowledgeable and compassionate space for others to expand. I’m truly honored and excited to hear about your psychedelic explorations!

My Philosophy

I believe in the healing properties of psychedelics when used intentionally, ceremoniously and with the desire to integrate the experience. My approach to psychedelic integration is trauma-informed, confidential and receptive.

I aim to feel the experiences of others as sometimes language can be a block to exlaining the visceral emotions that arise during medicine journeys. This informs me on how to be an ally in the integration process.

I believe psychedelics are bridges to:

It is important to me to preserve and respect the plant medicine traditions that are shared with us by indigenous tribes. I commit to a continuous study of understanding and honoring these wisdoms. My role as an integration coach isn’t to share the wisdom of these tribes, but to have an understanding so that I can be supportive to others in their medicine explorations.
